Strikes end at Cosayach iodine plant; impact on deliveries 'mild'

Three-week long industrial action had slowed the delivery although iodine production remained largely unaffected, Fastmarkets understands.

Industrial action at Cosayach’s iodine operations in the Tarapaca region of Chile ceased on July 30, having affected the company’s delivery schedule for "a couple weeks," according to a source. 

Disputes between the Chilean iodine miner and its workforce had resulted in workers blockading the four sites...
