SQM iodine sales fall by 400 tonnes in Q2

After reports of depleted inventories at Chile’s SQM, the industry’s largest producer, iodine sales showed a significant year-on-year decrease in the April-June quarter of 2019.

Chilean iodine producer Sociedad Quimica y Minera (SQM) has reported that its sales of  iodine and iodine derivatives dropped by 400 tonnes year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019.
