Weak demand to weigh on China’s bauxite, fused alumina exports

China’s shipments of refractory-grade bauxite to the international markets was lower year-on-year in July on slow demand from global buyers and disrupted supply within the country.

China exported 59,667 tonnes of refractory-grade bauxite to the international markets in July 2019, down by 6% from 63,534 tonnes in the corresponding month in 2018.
