Ciech confirms end to soda ash production at Romania plant

A price rise of 120% for steam supplies has led Poland-based chemicals producer Ciech to suspend production at its plant in Romania while it explores its options.

Poland-based chemicals producer Ciech’s soda ash plant in Romania was scheduled to stop production on September 18, but the company will continue to look for an alternative supply of steam for its factory so it can resume production.
