Weak end markets drag down silicon carbide prices

Silicon carbide (SiC) prices fell over the past month, due to sluggish demand, although availability was sufficient to cover existing inquiries, sources told Fastmarkets.

Prices for both abrasive and refractory grade SiC edged down as a result of ongoing weak demand and bearish macro-economic conditions taking their toll on the sector’s fundamentals.
