UK government calls temporary halt to all fracking in England

The British government has temporarily halted all fracking activity in England due to concerns over its potential to cause earthquakes.

The UK’s Business & Energy Secretary Andrea Leadsom announced a moratorium on fracking in England, after earthquakes were reported near to the United Kingdom’s only active fracking site.
