Lynas signs MoU with Malaysia to develop local rare earth demand

Australian rare earth miner Lynas has improved relations with the Malaysian government and plans cooperation on downstream market development.

Australian rare earths producer Lynas Corp has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian government’s investment agency, Mara. The news comes as Lynas, the largest rare-earth refiner outside China, awaits permission to increase activity at its Malaysian plant.
