EXCLUSIVE: Eloisa iodine plant to return in 2021 after ACF Minera buyout - sources

Following months of market speculation, Eloisa iodine plant has been acquired by another Chilean producer and will resume production in 2021, Fastmarkets understands.

Idled Chilean Eloisa iodine project has been purchased by local rival producer ACF Minera and will be brought online in 2021, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.

The 2,000-tonne-per-year iodine plant in the Tarapaca region of Chile came out of production in 2016.
