ICDA 2019: ‘Rationalization’ in foundry-grade chromite supply likely, delegates say

Persistent price weakness could lead to a rationalization in the supply of foundry-grade chromite in the near term, with the most exposed or high-cost producers exiting the market, delegates at a chromium conference said.

Some producers of foundry-grade chromite could be forced to close because of the downward trend in prices, attendees said at the ICDA Chromium 2019 conference on November 5-7 in New Delhi, India.
