ArcelorMittal to idle Krakow blast furnace on poor steel demand

The steelmaker will only restart operations at Krakow when conditions in the flat steel market improve, it said.

ArcelorMittal has decided to idle operations of its blast furnace (BF) and steel plant in Krakow, Poland, from November 23 this year, the company said on Tuesday November 12.
