Iluka, the world’s largest zircon miner, says that increasing monazite usage could be the solution to a shortage of new projects.
The global zircon market is heading for a structural supply
deficit, but unlocking value from the overlooked monazite
fraction of rare earths could reverse that trend, according to
Matthew Blackwell, head of projects at Iluka.
