Chinese soda ash spot price falls to two-year low, European contracts move up

The spot price range for soda ash in China has fallen to a level not seen for two years, while European prices are rising with producers passing on increased costs of production to the end-market.

The spot market for soda ash in China has emerged from the shadow of the undersupply seen in the summer of 2018 and producers were now reported to be building up stocks due strong output and a lack of buying activity.
