White fused alumina price dips, BFA and bauxite stable

Cheap alumina powder feedstock continues to favour lower offer prices for WFA, while weak demand and uncertainty over availability during China’s winter season support BFA and bauxite.

Fastmarkets’ fortnight assessment of the white fused alumina price fell to its lowest since the end of 2017, reflecting weakness in the feedstock market of metallurgical alumina and soft demand from consuming industries.
