China’s Jan-Nov exports of white fused alumina up 14%, bauxite down 10%

Lower prices supported China’s exports of white fused alumina in 2019, while shipments of bauxite and brown fused alumina both fell on weak demand.

Weakness in the refractory sectors in major overseas market resulted in decreasing demand for Chinese exports of refractory raw materials such as white fused alumina (WFA), brown fused alumina (BFA) and bauxite.
