Base Resources increases rutile production forecast

Mineral sand miner Base attributed the higher production forecasts at its Kenya site to investments to counter ore depletion.

Mineral sand miner Base Resources has increased its rutile production guidance for the Kwale mineral sand mine in Kenya after a recent investment bore dividends.

Base has raised its forecast for 2020 rutile production to 75,000-81,000 tonnes, from a previous forecast of 64,000-70,000 tonnes.
