Tharisa quarterly chrome production stable amid adverse weather, Eskom constraints

Tharisa's chrome production was steady quarter on quarter and compared with last year, while the company said the low chrome prices achieved over the period were "unsustainable."

South African miner Tharisa recorded stable chrome production of 342,500 tonnes for the three months to December 31, 2019, the company said on Friday January 10.

The figure, which relates to Tharisa’s financial first quarter of 2020, compares with 341,900 tonnes in the previous quarter...
