Iodine spot price edges higher for third straight week

The iodine spot market has continued on an uptrend over the past seven days, with prices rising for the third consecutive week and the top end of the range approaching $40 per kg.

The week ended Thursday January 23 was the third week of four this year when the iodine spot price has moved upward. The only exception was the period ended January 2, when many market participants had not yet returned from seasonal holidays and the market was quiet.
