China acidspar price sees first period of stability since environmental inspections

The acidspar market has enjoyed a period of stability such as it has not witnessed since China’s regime of environmental inspections hit the market and created price volatility more than two years ago.

The current price has now held firm for 14 weeks, something which has not happened since a 20-week period of flatness that ran March-September in 2016.

The price for fluorspar, acidspar, 97% CaF2, wet filtercake, fob China, was assessed at $400-450 per tonne on Thursday January 23.
