Consumers still hurting as iodine price spread widens

The range in the iodine price has continued to widen while the price increases, causing downstream companies to struggle to pass on rises to their customers.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for iodine min 99.5%, spot, delivered Europe/US, cif Asia, was $34-39 per kg on Thursday February 6.

This price was flat from the previous two weeks, but had already moved up from $32-37 per kg at the start of the year.
