Ganfeng increases its stake to 51% in Argentina JV with Lithium Americas

China’s Ganfeng Lithium will pay $16 million to increase its stake to 51% in the Caucharí -Olaroz lithium project in northern Argentina, which is a joint venture with Lithium Americas.

Ganfeng Lithium has agreed to pay the $16 million to raise its ownership in the project by only 1%, by buying new shares from Minera Exar, the jointly owned holding company for the project, it said on Friday February 7.
