Sellers test iodine spot market with higher offers, but prices stay firm

Iodine sellers were testing buyers with spot market offers above Fastmarkets' range, but the price held steady due to a lack of confirmed deals.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for iodine min 99.5%, spot, delivered Europe/US, cif Asia, was unchanged at $35-39 per kg on Thursday March 5.

Two offers, totaling 15 tonnes, were reported at $39.5 per kg, although one of these offers has since been rejected.
