Virus effects felt in China’s NEV output, sales in February 2020

The output and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China fell by over 75% year on year in February 2020 due to the suspension of operations during the peak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
China produced 9,951 NEVs in February 2020 including pure
electric vehicles (PEVs) and plug-in hybrids. This is down by
82.9% from February 2019, according to data released by the
China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
