Andalusite miners in South Africa halt production amid Covid-19 response

South Africa’s andalusite producers are in the process of closing their mining operations in the country for three weeks in line with a government directive to contain the spread of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the country.
South Africa hosts two of the main three producers of
andalusite, Imerys and Andalusite Resources, both of which will
halt their operations between today and tomorrow, Fastmarkets
understands.
