Pilbara Minerals secures offtake agreement with China’s Yibin Tianyi

Australian lithium spodumene concentrate producer Pilbara Minerals said on Wednesday March 25 that it has secured a five-year offtake agreement to supply spodumene concentrate from its Pilgangoora lithium-tantalum project in Western Australia to Chinese lithium manufacturer Yibin Tianyi.

The five-year agreement entails an initial delivery to Yibin Tianyi of 60,000 tonnes per year of high-quality spodumene concentrate in 2020. Subsequently, a minimum of 75,000 tpy will be delivered for the remainder of the agreed term.
