Paint makers prepare for fallout from Covid-19

Paint makers are controlling their spending as they weigh the prospect of a major disruption to the sector because of the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The coatings industry is the principal consumer of white titanium dioxide.

Dutch coatings company AkzoNobel announced on Wednesday April 22 the suspension of its 2020 financial plans due to the knock-on effects of the measures being taken globally to control the spread of the virus.
