Covid-19 cases halt Assore’s Dwarsrivier chrome mine ops

Miner Assore has suspended operations at the Dwarsrivier chrome mine in South Africa following two confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus.

The company reported the cases on May 5 and 7. The second person was one of nine people the first confirmed patient came into contact with and was in self-quarantine, while the other eight contacts tested negative for the virus.
