Tronox boosts feedstock position with $300 mln TiZir purchase

Tronox, one of the world’s largest producers of titanium dioxide, is to buy Eramet’s titanium slag facility in Norway.
The deal will increase the concentration of global titanium
slag production, which is already dominated by Tronox and Rio
Tinto.
Tronox said on Thursday May 14 that it would pay
"approximately $300 million" for Eramet’s TiZir
business.
