China’s DBM magnesia exports fell in April, while FM and CCM up

Chinese exports of dead burned magnesia fell in April from the corresponding month of 2019 due to slow activity from global buyers, while caustic calcined magnesia and fused magnesia exports increased.

China exported 85,747 tonnes of dead burned magnesia (DBM) in April 2020, down by 8.7% year on year from 93,899 tonnes, as a result of slow activity from global buyers, according to official Chinese customs data.

The export value of DBM was down by 43% to $19.43 million in April...
