Chinese antimony trioxide price drops on weak metal market, favorable exchange rate

The price for antimony trioxide in China fell in the seven days to Tuesday June 2 amid bearishness in the market for antimony metal - a feedstock in the production of the trioxide derivatives - and a weakening yuan against the dollar.

Fastmarkets assessed the price of the antimony trioxide 99.5% Sb2O3 min, fob China at $4,680-4,750 per tonne on Tuesday, down from $4,750-4,800 per tonne on May 26, a level it had held for five consecutive weeks.
