Select Sands reports demand boom in Q1, but warns on rest of 2020

Frac sand miner Select Sands reported a sharp uptick in sales in the first quarter of 2020, but this boost in volumes has been called into question by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Canada-based Select Sands sold 59,017 tons of frac sand in the first quarter of 2020, compared with just 9,944 tons in the previous quarter, and 39,958 tons in the first quarter of 2019, it said in a results statement published on its website...
