US drilling slumps to fresh low as Covid slowdown intensifies

Oilfield activity in the United States is now at its lowest level in at least 20 years, adding fresh pressure to frac sand prices.

The rate of oil and gas drilling has fallen for the 14th week in a row, and is at the lowest level on records going back to 2000.
