China magnesia exports mostly fell in May on lower global demand

Chinese exports of magnesia mostly fell year on year in May due to the reduced buying from traditional buyers due to global Covid-19 lockdowns, Fastmarkets understands.

China exported 28,097 tonnes of fused magnesia (FM) in May 2020, down by 7.1% from 30,257 tonnes in May 2019 and down by 25.2% from 37,551 tonnes in April 2020, official Chinese customs data shows.
