China’s NEV sector maintains monthly growth in June but remains down annually

China’s output and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) sustained month-on-month growth in June, but figures remain down on an annual comparison.

China produced 102,000 NEVs in June, including pure electric vehicles (PEVs) and plug-in hybrids. This showed an increase of 21.3% from May, but figures are still down by 25% from June 2019, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
