Sole US rare earth miner to go public, use funds to build processing capacity

Rare earth miner MP Materials, which operates the only rare earths mine in the United States, intends to offer shares for public trading, the company announced on Wednesday July 15.

MP Materials will list on the New York Stock Exchange at an estimated value of around $1.5 billion.

The company expects to have more than $500 million in net cash after the listing, and will use these funds to upgrade its on-site processing capacity.
