Iodine market softens with rise in material availability

The weekly spot iodine price softened in the week to Thursday July 23, with reduced consumption increasing the availability of material.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for iodine min 99.5%, spot, delivered Europe/US, cif Asia was $34.50-39 per kg on Thursday July 23, widening downward by $0.50 from $35-39 per kg the previous week.

This is the first decline reported this year, after a long period of stability...
