China magnesia exports drop in June on weak global demand

Chinese exports of magnesia fell on both an annual and monthly comparison in June with most buyers in no hurry to place more orders in a continued weak downstream environment.

China exported 20,755 tonnes of fused magnesia in June, down by 22% from 26,606 tonnes a year ago and down by 26.1% from 28,097 tonnes in May, official Chinese customs data shows.

The export value of fused magnesia in June totaled $9.93 million, down by 41.1%...
