Chemours sales take hit from Covid-19 effects

Titanium dioxide and fluorochemicals manufacturer Chemours has reported a sharp drop in sales volumes because of the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on economic activity.

Chemours reported on Friday July 31 that it had net sales in the second quarter of 2020 totaling $1.1 billion, in comparison with $1.4 billion in April-June 2019.

Net income in the second quarter was $24 million, compared with $96 million in the corresponding period of 2019.
