HF producers warn of capacity idling due to weak acidspar demand

Hydrofluoric acid (HF) producers are operating below nameplate capacity because the Covid-19 pandemic has stifled demand and some are considering idling capacity and push outs on contracted volumes for the calendar year.

Refrigerant demand has been weakened so far this year by lower requirements in the industrial sector because of economic shutdowns in response to the outbreak of the virus.
