Foundry chromite sand prices fall on ongoing weak fundamentals

Foundry grade chromite prices fell in the past week, with the traditional summer slowdown adding to the existing bearish pressure on demand due to the rippling effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both of Fastmarkets' assessments for wet bulk and dried and bagged foundry sand dipped on a weekly basis, while the assessment for chemical grade chromite held on the absence of trading activity.
