Westwater Resources starts battery-grade graphite pilot plant program in Germany

Westwater Resources, a US-based company focused on developing energy-related materials, has launched its graphite pilot plant program in Germany, which it expects to be in operation by the end of 2020.

The pilot plant is designed to manufacture high performing battery-grade graphite from non-China sources while ensuring a sustainable environmental footprint and low production costs.

The company engaged German company Dorfner Anzaplan in November to advance the development of processes needed to purify graphite concentrates and to produce Westwater’s battery grade products: ULTRA-PMG, ULTRA-SPG...
