Liaoning government reaffirms production controls on magnesia industry

The provincial government of the Liaoning region of China reaffirmed the imposition of production controls on the magnesia industry during a meeting on September 4, with the idea of promoting the healthy development of the market.

The meeting stressed the principle of total control of the magnesia industry, for which Liaoning is the major production hub. The authority now requires the industry to reduce the amount of low-quality and low-efficiency production capacity.
