Chinese magnesia exporters raise offers following industry consolidation plans

The Liaoning provincial government in China has released further details on magnesite industry consolidation plans following a meeting in early September, giving confidence to dead burned magnesia (DBM) exporters to raise their offer prices.

The provincial government of the Liaoning region of China held a meeting on September 4 reaffirming the imposition of production controls on the magnesia industry, with the aim of promoting the healthy development of the market. More details have now come out of the controls.
