Chemical grade chromite price ticks up for first time since Q2

The chemical grade chromite price increased for the first this week since April after a number of months characterized by falling or flat price levels on difficult market conditions.

Fastmarkets assessed the price for  chromite, chemical, 46% Cr2O3 min, wet bulk, fob South Africa at $170-180 per tonne on Tuesday September 22, up by $10 on the low end from to $160-180 per tonne a week ago.
