Magnesia export prices steady as Chinese industry undergoes reform

Export prices for Chinese magnesia have held firm over the past week while the Liaoning provincial government in China continued to push its reforms of the magnesia industry to promote healthy development of the market.

Liaoning province is a production hub for magnesia, and the regional authorities have put consolidation plans for the magnesite sector in progress after a government meeting in early September.
