Chinese soda ash price rebounds; markets remain depressed elsewhere

The Chinese export soda ash price surged by 20% after domestic producers cut output to rebalance the local market.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for soda ash, synthetic, dense and light, fob China rose to $230-240 per tonne on Thursday September 24 from $190-200 per tonne a month earlier.
