Graphite electrode prices rebound from summer slump, GES says

The graphite electrode market has been volatile due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, but producers have begun to resume activity amid a rise in demand and costs, according to graphite producer and consultant GES.

"Graphite electrode prices collapsed over the summer under the influence of Covid-19 and then there was a sudden price increase that began about three weeks ago," Benjamin Sarkoezy, an analyst at graphite producer and consultant GES, told Fastmarkets on Tuesday October 13.
