US rig count rises for ninth straight week to six-month high

The number of active drilling rigs in the United States has risen for a ninth week in a row, with activity slowly resuming in the country’s oil and gas sector.

Oilfield services company Baker Hughes reported the number of active US rigs at 312 on Friday November 13, an increase of 12 week-on-week. The number of active drilling rigs in the US is now at its highest level since May 2020.
