Chemical grade chromite price breaks two-month stability

The chemical grade chromite price fell after holding for two months amid slow liquidity and bearish market conditions, while foundry prices were stable following a previous drop in the dried and bagged assessment.

Fastmarkets assessed the price for chromite, chemical, 46% Cr2O3 min, wet bulk, fob South Africa at $160-180 per tonne on Tuesday December 8, down by $10 on the low end from $170-180 per tonne in the previous week with business concluded at the bottom of the new range.
