Tight supply supports graphite electrode market, GES says

The graphite electrode market has strengthened significantly in the past two months in response to tightened supply at the same time that consumers have returned to the market, according to graphite producer and consultant GES.

"Prices have been increasing and will continue to do so until Chinese New Year [celebrated February 12], and then they will probably fall again," Benjamin Sarkoezy, an analyst at graphite producer and consultant GES, told Fastmarkets on Tuesday December 15.
