Syrah Resources signs MoU with Solar Century Africa for solar-battery project at Balama

Australian graphite miner Syrah Resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solar Century Africa Ltd (Solarcentury), a London-based global solar developer, to progress a solar and battery storage hybrid power system to work in conjunction with the existing diesel generation power plant at Balama in Mozambique.

The solar and battery storage system aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and operating costs at Balama, where Syrah’s graphite operation is located.
